The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary network of experts in our offices in Europe, North America and Australia.Within Geosyntec's European operations, we work for both private and public clients. Advancement is based on an individual’s own performance and initiative.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTogether with your colleagues, you will contribute to the construction of our mining business in the Nordic region and across Europe. Your role will focus on the development and review of TMF projects and related tasks, mainly for clients in the mining and industrial sectors, drafting tenders, managing applications from the beginning to the end of any work or project and ensuring that the client is always delivered adequate quality. You will work with different specialists, such as geotechnical engineers, mining engineers, tailing engineers or geologists, and manage and develop assigned junior staff. Experience handling commonly used design software, such as Civil 3D, CAD, Leapfrog, and Muck 3D, will be considered an advantage.Depending on your experience, training and ambition, you will naturally have great opportunities to shape the role that best suits you and challenges you as an individual, but also develops us as a team and as a company. You will work on a wide variety of projects for our clients, both in the private and public sectors, together with a group of colleagues with 10 to 30 years of experience in the environmental field, both nationally and internationally.Collaboration and mentoring at national and international levels are the foundations of our business culture; you will be able to work closely with experienced consultants in our field at an international level who will support you in the development of your career and in the construction of your professional networks within the Geosyntec Group.Skills, Experience and QualificationsWe would like you to have the following training, knowledge and experience:We are looking for candidates with a master's degree in engineering ideally with experience working as a tailings or mining waste engineer. You likely have a master's degree in civil, mining, or geotechnical engineering from a technical university or equivalent qualifications. Your experience will have provided you with a good knowledge of mining infrastructures and the construction process, from feasibility studies and research to the preparation of working documents associated with a mining operation. You will need to have experience in independently leading and initiating new field assignments.Experience in soil mechanics, slope stability analysis, numerical modeling and/or hydrogeology, and water balances will be considered additional merit for this position.
