Job Description
The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is responsible for designing the most appropriate solutions based on Delta’s products in order to meet customers’ requirements. The FAE is also responsible for providing technical and commercial support to Delta Finland customers and the Delta Finland sales team. You will be working with products such as rectifiers, UPS, inverters, converters, batteries and other advanced energy solutions with customers in the Telecom, Datacenter, Transport, Power Utility & Industrial sectors.
Main responsibilities and tasks
Work with customers, sales representatives and manufacturer’s representatives to determine the best technical & commercial solution to meet the customer’s requirements.
Ensure Customer RFI/RFP/RFQ’s are evaluated and managed according to Delta’s processes.
Obtain and manage technical input and cost input for quotations and proposals.
Prepare technical input and assist in finalizing the proposal documentation to be submitted to Customers.
Respond to the customer technical issues (telephone or emails) and research, solve and lead complex technical issues submitted by the customer.
Provide technical support to our internal service department.
Represent and participate in external/internal meetings.
Project Management for delivery of Delta & Eltek’s solutions.
Providing on-site technical support and training at customer`s locations on installed system/products.
Qualifications
Higher National Diploma, Bachelor or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering or related disciplines.
Minimum 3 year experience within the UPS/Vdc power industry. Either from R&D, engineering, sales support, service or other technical areas.
Experience of a sector within Critical Infrastructure.
Excellent level of Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
Strong technical skills and proven experience in product management or development.
Advanced skills in understanding Vac & Vdc power and/or renewable energy industries.
Very good skills in Office software such as MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD or similar and basic skills in programming.
Commercially minded and the ability to build and develop customer relationships.
High level of business ethics and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Presentation and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work under pressure and meet business deadlines.
Self-motivated, forward thinking, with a pro-active mindset and a strong team player who also can work independently.
Driver license level-B required for domestic and sometimes international traveling.
