As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you would be working as a full-stack developer, together with IQ Engineers, to present their test results in a user-friendly and easy-to-use portal. Your work also includes coaching others and helping with resolving technical issues. You can use the latest and greatest technologies in web development and keep your skills up to date at all times.
This work requires full-stack development skills with, for example, React + FastAPI + Python or some other modern framework combination. A senior position also requires an understanding of web security; restrictions with browsers; and, even more importantly, preventing unwanted access.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for getting the most out of our tests and measurement capabilities. You need to visualize different metrics so that they are easy to understand and can be easily compared with others. To be successful in your job, you should be familiar with basic web technologies for presenting pictures, videos, and graphs in an interactive way. Tests and metrics change constantly, and you need to create an easily maintainable system where new stuff can be added easily and old data retired. We also take security seriously, so you should be familiar with typical security vulnerabilities and how to prevent them.
A day in the life
A new test is created; it produces measurements in JSON format. An IQ engineer wants to have a simple analysis done from the JSON and results visible as traffic lights. You start creating a PoC. As a long-term activity, you are also working on optimizing video performance from AWS S3 bucket to the browser screen for future camera resolutions. You help the tools team add a version history button to their tool UI, done with React, as they do not have any React skills.
Around 9 AM and 2 PM, people gather in coffee places, and at lunchtime in local cafeterias. This is a good time to refresh your brain with some non-technical discussion.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
You will be successful in your work when:
You have work experience in large-scale web UI development (front and back end).
You have knowledge in React + FastAPI + Python, React + NodeJS, or equivalent modern development frameworks.
You know the security essentials in web development.
You are familiar with Python basics.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
It is good (but not mandatory) if you have:
Any video manipulation skills, knowledge in formats, etc.
Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, or relevant cloud knowledge.
OAuth2 or SAML knowledge.
Knowledge of differences in browsers and how to overcome those.
Knowledge in Tableau or a similar framework.
